The offer of UE 3 is specific to each training site (Aix, Avignon, Digne or Marseille).

  • Improvement of written and oral expression

    This UE3 includes 10 hours devoted to oral expression, and 10 hours devoted to written expression (20 hours: 12 hours in-class & 8 hours distance learning). It is intended only for a limited number of students with major difficulties in writing and/or speaking, selected by their course supervisors. This is not a FLE course for non-French speaking students (ERASMUS or equivalent).

The offer of UE 3 is specific to each training site (Aix, Avignon, Digne or Marseille), we invite you to consult this offer, in order to be able to register individually via your ENT, heading schooling.

/ ! \ We draw your attention to the UE 3 offered by distance learning only. These courses are reserved for students registered in a distance learning program and for students who have applied for the RSE (Régime Spécial d'Etude).

Special point for Master 2 students only:
As a reminder, all students enrolled in Master 2 must validate 3 ECTS related to foreign language skills level B2.
For the students who have no proof of previous validation of the LVE skills level B2, and who did not follow the UE 3 of LVE in the odd semester, you must register on a UE3 " Practice of an EVL at B2 level "

  • What are the training sites of the Inspé d'Aix-Marseille?

    L'Inspé is present in 4 cities: Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Digne-les-Bains and Marseille.

    • Mention 1: First degree (School Teacher) on the 4 sites. The choice is made during your online application. There is a distance variation for this course.
    • Mention 2: Second degree (Teacher of Colleges and High Schools) in Aix or Marseille depending on the discipline and also in Avignon for literature, English, Spanish, history-geography and mathematics in partnership with Avignon University (AU). List of courses
    • Mention 3: Educational supervision CPE (Conseillers Principaux d'Education) in Aix

  • Which degree to choose to enter the MEEF Master's program?

    Numerous licences give access to the MEEF master's degree for the first degree (school teacher). LIST

  • Can we prepare ourselves before the MEEF master's degree?

    There are pre-vocationaleducation units (UE Pro-MEEF) from the 2nd year of the bachelor's degree. They can be addressed to tout∙e∙s or étudiant∙e∙s for those who wish to integrate a Master's degree in Teaching, Education and Training.

    Pro-MEEF 1 in L2 in semester 3 or 4 (24h TD - 24h internship / 3ECTS)

    They come in addition to the shared Pro-MEEF UEs for undergraduate students who intend to go on to become a school teacher or a vocational school teacher (for two-disciplinary school subjects).

  • How to integrate the Inspé?

    Admission is based on selection criteria.

    Depending on the course of study, the criteria are more or less precise: bachelor's degree followed, UE PROMEEF followed, internship, letter of motivation, results obtained in bachelor's degree 3...

  • Can I become a teacher through a VAE?

    The VAE makes it possible to obtain a diploma such as the MEEF master's degree.
    The system for validating acquired experience enables all or part of a certification (diploma, professional title or certificate of professional qualification) to be obtained on the basis of paid, unpaid and/or voluntary professional experience.
    This experience, which is linked to the certification in question, is validated by a selection board. A diploma can be obtained under this scheme.

    The master's degree makes it possible to sit the recruitment competitions.

  • What happens if I obtain the MEEF master's degree but not the National Education competition?

    During the 2 years of the Master's programme, students acquire skills that are useful in all areas of education and training.

    The MEEF master's degree is a nationally recognised diploma. You can apply for jobs in this sector or in the sector education and training, including of contract staff proposed by the rectorates and by private education services.

    You can also represent the competition and as many times as you wish.

    L'Inspé will offer help to reinforce the master's degree knowledge to better understand the competitive exams.

AMU's Student Life Office and the Inspé's training department welcome students who need to adapt their studies and/or exams due to a physical, sensory or psychological disability, dyslexia or a long-term disabling health problem.

Appropriate measures, teaching aids (note-taking, examination secretariat, provision of equipment, travel assistance...), examination facilities... are proposed.
To benefit from this aid, contact Mission Handicap and Inspé as soon as possible.

According to the Examination Charter you must report no later than six weeks before the examination for which accommodation is requested.

In-service training of National Education personnel

National Education personnel trained at the university by the Inspé or other components of the university are trained in partnership with the Aix-Marseille rectorate. All training activities are included in the Academic Training Plan (PAF) or in its departmental versions and are managed by the DAFIP.

Anchored in the multi-year ministerial master plan, the offer is designed to be as close as possible to the needs and expectations of all staff in order to support them in the performance of their duties in three areas:

  • Axis 1: to be situated in the education system.
  • Axis 2: improve and adapt one's professional practices.
  • Axis 3: be supported in your professional development and develop your skills.

Enriched by the diversity of the skills of its multi-skilled teams, Inspé's training activities are part of the research-field-training linkage, with the support of the ADEF UR 4671 research laboratory and the SFERE Provence FED 4238 research federation, and are part of the bachelor's and master's MEEF lifelong learning continuum.

Part of the training offer comes in a hybrid form, based on the Magisterium platform.

  • Training actions
    • Preparations for internal competitive examinations for secondary school teachers: on the strength of its experience, the university offers a variety of training courses such as preparations for internal accreditations, internal capes, and assistance in writing CSAR applications;
    • CAFFA-CAFIPEMF: having developed an expertise in the training of trainers.rice.s, the Inspé coordinates the training courses for the certification of academic teacher trainers (for the second degree) and teachers of teacher training colleges.rice.s (for the first degree). Backed by the MEEF Master's degree course, these two-year courses lead to the development of functions linked to leadership, research and training activities;
    • Training of new T1 and T2 holders: provided and coordinated by plural teams (Inspé-Académie), they are divided into 8 transversal modules. Offered in the form of a choice catalogue for all T1 and T2, these modules provide support in the first years of entry into the profession with a view to meeting the needs of teachers.

  • Policy Officers

    The Inspé's continuing education officers coordinate and manage all actions for the first and second levels. They are in contact with the Directorates of the Departmental Services of National Education (DSDEN), the rectorate and the training teams of the Inspé. They ensure the coherence of the continuum between initial and continuing training.

How to finance his training?

Individual training leave

Individual Training Leave is a leave of absence that allows employees to take time off from their job in order to follow training to qualify, develop or retrain on their own initiative.
The requested training does not have to be related to the employee's activity. It may be full-time or part-time, continuous or discontinuous.
To benefit from it, you must meet certain conditions and submit your application to your employer. The OPACIF (Organisme paritaire collecteur agréé au titre du CIF) can take care of your remuneration and training costs.

Individual Training Assistance - Job Seekers

The Individual Training Assistance can help you obtain financial assistance from the employment centre to follow a training course. This assistance can be combined with other sources of funding.
To determine your eligibility for this aid, you must make an appointment with your employment counsellor to study your training project.

Career development leave - public service

Professional training leave allows civil servants to complete their personal training through professional or personal training not offered by the administration.

Whether you are an employee or a jobseeker, you can enter the Master 1 thanks to a professional and personal Validation of Prior Learning file.
The decree of 23 August 1985 allows access to a training course for which a candidate does not have the title required on entry (the licence). It is possible to compile a specific file in order to demonstrate that his or her professional experience has enabled him or her to acquire the necessary skills (pre-requisites) to follow the MEEF Masters course in question.
Each application is submitted for the opinion of the MEEF Master's pedagogical commission and the decision of the director of the Inspé. It meets twice a year and considers:

  • VAP files (validation of professional and personal experience): candidates who do not hold a licence but who meet the conditions of access to the competition and who are authorised to register in M1 for a BAC +2 + 5 years of professional activity (PLP competition), mother or father of 3 children or high-level sportsmen and women.
  • Applications for enrolment in M1 from students who do not have a degree of access in their own right (the bachelor's degree) as part of a validation of studies.
  • Applications for direct enrolment in M2 for students who do not hold the M1 MEEF.
  • Applications from students with foreign diplomas (except for countries with Campus France procedure).

Validation of Prior Learning Assessment - VAE

If you have at least one year's experience in teaching, education or training, you can obtain all or part of the Master's degree in Teaching, Education and Training (MEEF).

Application dates

VAE 2020-2021 applications from 14 January 2020 to 30 April 2020

Public

Anyone with experience in the fields of teaching, education or training is concerned by the MEEF Masters course VAE. There is no requirement for titles or diplomas to access the MEEF Master's degree by VAE.

Procedure

The first step consists in drawing up a "booklet 1" admissibility file of the application for the MEEF master's degree by the VAE.
This file is examined by a commission which will make a decision once a month during the application period. This commission is made up of the director of the Inspé or her representative, the heads of the four MEEF Master's degrees or their representatives, the VAE project manager and the head of the study and VAE department of the Inspé's training centre.
The university's Continuing Vocational Training Department shall forward the results of this committee to the candidates.

Jury

Once the candidate has written the "Booklet 2", a jury is convened to validate the EAV. There are two jury sessions per academic year: one in May/June, the other in November/December. Following the hearing, the selection board will decide whether the diploma in question is to be validated in full, in part or not at all. In the case of partial validation, instructions are given to the candidate, who must comply with them as soon as possible.
The result of the deliberations is communicated orally to the candidate by the jury on the day of the defense. Written notification shall be sent subsequently by the university's continuing vocational training department.

Cost and Financing (rates 2020-2021)

Compulsory fees: 1343€.

  • Instruction of the request : 100€.
  • Expertise and organisation costs of the VAE jury: 1 243€.

Optional fees (accompaniment to the VAE): 1 200 €.

In order to obtain funding (DIF Primary and Secondary National Education, local authorities, DIF private sector, Pôle emploi, employer), candidates must contact the personnel department on which they depend.
An application for funding can also be made to the Pôle emploi, for job seekers, and to the regional council to obtain a "VAE regional cheque".

DESU Organization

Deux parcours de formation sont proposés

Deux parcours de formation sont proposés, d’une durée annuelle de 240 heures :

  1. Un parcours « Développement professionnel » assurant la consolidation et l’élargissement des compétences ; il s’adresse à des FSTG ayant atteint le niveau de maîtrise attendu des compétences du master MEEF.
  2. Un parcours « Formation professionnelle adaptée » proposant un ensemble de modules variés et articulables entre eux afin d’offrir des contextes de formation différenciables en fonction des besoins du FSTG ; ces modules s’articulent aussi avec l’offre du master MEEF.

Trois UE sont proposées, dont l’UE2, commune à l’ensemble des FSTG inscrits dans le DESU et ancrée dans la construction d’une production réflexive. Les deux autres UE sont proposées à déclinaison à choix en relation avec le parcours et donc les besoins du stagiaire.

Le FSTG déjà titulaire d’un master MEEF de la spécialité de recrutement suivra le parcours « Développement professionnel » du DESU (UE 1a ; UE 2 et UE 3a) ; le FSTG nécessitant une différenciation de son parcours en lien avec sa situation (fragilité dans certains acquis du MEEF-2, prolongement ou renouvellement de stage) suivra tout ou partie du parcours « Formation professionnelle adaptée » du DESU (UE 1b ; UE 2 et UE 3b)

DESU Vocational training as part of the work-study programme for trainee civil servants holding the MEEF master's degree

Professional training as part of the work-study programme for trainee civil servants holding the MEEF Master's degree

This diploma offer is linked to the year of internship in responsibility of trainee civil servants, winners of a National Education competition and meets the ministerial framework, describing the conditions of organization of the Adapted Courses, in particular for trainee civil servants who are winners of the M2 MEEF and who are on a work-linked training course at the Inspé.

  • It is thus anchored in a continuity of training ensuring the strengthening of the competency-based approach of the MEEF Master's degree: depending on the context of integration, it provides professional development (DESU pathway a) or training adapted to the specific needs of the trainees (pathway b).
  • It is also based on the Academic Plan for the Continuing Education of Primary and Secondary Teachers.

Innovation is at the heart of this training, which favours the collective project approach. The construction of a reflexive production ensures a step back, enrichment and professional openness and allows these trainee civil servants to initiate a dynamic that starts from the schools that host them in connection with educational research and the social and cultural environment of these institutions:

  1. In partnership with research laboratories ensuring the mobilization of skills in a reflexive and knowledge-building framework: PSYCLE, ADEF, Cognitive Psychology Laboratory ...
  2. In interaction with the local associative, social and/or economic fabric allowing the knowledge of professionals outside national education and intercategorical work. : Calanques National Park, Camps des Milles, Family Planning, theatres, museums, partner associations of the school, ASTEP, Observatory of Provence ...
  3. By mobilising the academic training context: participation in teacher-researcher days, experimentation with internships in training establishments, integration within DAFIP research-training-fieldwork projects.

Professionalization from the bachelor's degree onwards

UE Pro-MEEF

If you are a Bachelor's student and you are interested in teaching, education and training, take the teaching units for professionalization in teaching, education and training (UE Pro-MEEF) from the second year of the Bachelor's program.
These three teaching units are offered in all the bachelor's degrees with openings in these sectors in the two partner universities of the academy, AMU (Aix-Marseille University) and AU (Avignon University).

  • UE Pro-MEEF 1

    The UE Pro-MEEF 1 " Teaching, Educating, Training: complex jobs " in the second year of the licence (L2), in the first "semester (September to December 2019) or in the second "semester (January to May 2020), is an awareness-raising and orientation aid course. It is coupled with a 24-hour (4x6h) discovery internship that allows each student to apprehend the diversity of the professions in this field; it takes place in four different fields, within three National Education establishments (first degree, second degree college, second degree vocational college) and in another educational or training structure, outside National Education.

    In the third year of the licence (L3), in the first "semester (September to December 2021) and in the second "semester (January to May 2022), two professional project development courses are offered to all students who have decided to pursue their orientation towards these professions.

  • Préparation aux concours de l'enseignement dans le second degré

    SEMESTRE 5

    UE ProMEEF 2

    Cette unité d’enseignement vise à préparer les étudiants aux nouvelles épreuves écrites du concours du CAPES externe. Elle met l’accent sur la méthodologie et propose des entraînements progressifs aux différents formats d’épreuves. Le contenu précis est adapté à et par chaque discipline et tient compte des attendus spécifiques définis par les référentiels du concours.

    Il s'agit d'un module disciplinaire de 30h (TD, travail en autonomie, distanciel, suivi...). L'organisation est prise en charge par chaque département de licence.

Le contenu précis est adapté à et par chaque discipline et tient compte des attendus spécifiques définis par les référentiels du concours.

    Il s'agit d'un module disciplinaire de 30h (TD, travail en autonomie, distanciel, suivi...). L'organisation est prise en charge par chaque département de licence.

    Cette unité d’enseignement, mutualisée entre plusieurs disciplines, accompagne les étudiants dans la préparation de l’épreuve orale n°2 du CAPES, dite épreuve d’entretien. Elle vise à développer la capacité à analyser une situation professionnelle, à mobiliser des savoirs pédagogiques et institutionnels, et à argumenter de manière claire et structurée. L’accent est mis sur les compétences transversales indispensables à la posture professionnelle de futur enseignant.

    Il s'agit d'un module disciplinaire de 30h (TD, travail en autonomie, distanciel, suivi...).
